Various Activities

In Sooke, we went on a kayak tour of the harbor, where we saw wildlife while a charmingly half-witted tour guide entertained us. We dined at the local farm-to-table establishment, and rode rented bicycles up to a ghost mining town. In Victoria, we went on an eventful whale-watching tour, followed by brunch in town laden with Bloody Caesars laden with vodka. We went to the Botanical Beach near Port Renfrew, where we spent hours looking at the creatures in the tide pools. After leaving the island and Point-No-Point, we spent two days in Vancouver, where - between intemperate visits to too many delicious restaurants - we walked around downtown, the various boutiques and shops of Gastown, and the beach. We also visited Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, which was fun (in a terrifying sort of way, for Shira). It wasn't until the last day of our honeymoon that we remembered that we brought the selfie stick. Oh, well!
